Faisal Al-Hammadi


Founder and creator of FH Development Group, Faisal is fuelled by his natural curiosity and drive to build more efficient and productive homes. As a Civil Engineer, Faisal began his career in road construction, becoming a General Road Director in his native Yemen. His time operating an Engineering Consultancy firm helped uncover and nurture a passion for full-scale community development, and upon moving to Nova Scotia in 2001, he created FH Development Group. Today, Faisal oversees all business activities and ensures all FH Development Group homes are built with the utmost quality, comfort, and creativity.

Alaadin Al-Hammadi, MBA, BEng

General Manager

Formally trained as a Civil Engineer, Alaa has a record of achievement as a Project Manager in numerous construction projects, which paved the way to his current position of General Manager. His inquisitive nature and capacity for critical thinking are the key to his success in operations. From the performance of general labour and landscaping duties early in his career, to executing Quality Assurance and Quality Control on major industrial and institutional projects, he truly personifies the saying “hands-on

Ammar Aqlan

Vice President Operations

Mr. Ammar Aqlan has a track record of a reputable performance and leadership qualities with more than 22 years of experience in business strategy. Before joining FHD, he was the senior Vice President Operations for Nahdi Medical Company, the biggest Pharma retail chain business in the Middle East, and South Africa. Prior to that, he was the Plant Manager at a leading confectionery manufacturing company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He spent 10 years at P&G. During his tenure, he worked at various positions of the supply chain between Yemen and Saudi. Mr. Ammar Aqlan has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Sana’a University in Yemen. His professional qualifications include Certified Supply Chain Professional Manager (CSCM), under the International Supply Chain Education Alliance, U.S.

Alex Peña

Sales & Marketing Manager 

Alex immigrated to Halifax more than 20 years ago and completely understands the process of adapting to not just a new city but to a new country, too. He has a solid knowledge of new home construction and real estate development. As an Engineering Technologist with over 15 years of experience in sales and client relations, Alex brings together personal understanding, attention to detail and technical knowledge to deliver client-focused solutions to you.

Graham Durant

Construction Supervisor

Graham is FH Development Group’s “expert of all things” in home building. With over 20 years of experience in residential construction, he coordinates and takes care of any issues that may arise after purchase. He’s also responsible for repairing any deficiencies covered by the New Home Warranty. Graham can fix anything- and we mean anything!

Amr Al-Hammadi

Project Manager

Having completed his degree in engineering at Dalhousie University while working for FH Development Group, Amr has become Project Coordinator through 12 years of direct experience. Leading the projects located in Spryfield, he is both pleased and fulfilled to be playing a part in on-site dealings, client relations, and closing day. His favourite features of FH Development Group homes are their energy efficiency, aesthetically pleasing nature and affordability for first home buyers.

Don Crouse

Service Coordinator

A natural born “Handy Man” with over 30 years of experience, the most rewarding part of the job for Don is meeting with people and ensuring everything is above and beyond their expectations in functionality and maintenance. He likes that working for FH Development Group feels like family, and his favourite feature to their homes is the lasting quality and craftsmanship of the builds.

Shauna Strowbridge

Office/Property Administrator

With over 5 years experience in property management, managing upwards of 20 buildings at a time, combined with 13 years in customer service, Shauna loves helping people find their homes and being part of a small family-oriented team. She received her Legal Administration Diploma from Eastern College as well as condominium management level 1 & 2 from the Canadian Condominium Institute.
